At 34, Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball is the youngest female statewide elected official in the country. The Prestonsburg native earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law and has a lot to say about the state’s future. Her colleague, Kentucky Agricultural Commissioner Ryan Quarles, is the youngest of all statewide elected officials in the country.
Alison remarked” I hope that my position will inspire other women to pursue the things that they feel called to do. I hope it encourages more young women to get involved and assume leadership positions.”
